Kampus: Another Level of Entertainment
Amid all our anxiety and dreams, the world keeps on turning. So does, apparently, Kampus - a one-stop leisure spot in Menara Imperium, Kuningan. by Stallone Tjia / September 17, 2009
The name, translated simply as “Campus” in English, might imply books and degrees, but the only degree you will encounter here is that of entertainment, and a higher one at that.
Kampus offers a range of urban delights, ranging from a club, a lounge, a karaoke spot, and, of course, a dining section that spoils you with its revolving concept. Thus, not only does Kampus offers you top-notch treats, it also gives you a chance to enjoy a mellowed-out version of life from above.
The elegantly furnished dining section, located in the building’s 35th floor, revolves slowly, taking about an hour and a half to complete a full circle. This mechanism allows you to bask on the view below thoroughly while sipping away on a cold drink and with the sipping comes the munching of course. Kampus have created a practical fine dining theme that will spare you from having too much to deal with on your plate. “Kampus offers fine dining concept, but the food is simple and its portions sensible, thus no fussing is involved,” Sony Yudhistira from the Media and Promotion section explained.
Executive Chef Chandra Yudasswara worked his magic from the very first beginning, the appetizer, that is. My tastebuds welcomed the fragrant and spice-rich Lemongrass and Coriander infused Seafood Broth with Chili Oil. The dish was slightly reminiscent of the Tom Yam Goong, but with a milder, pleasant take.
However, it was time to move on to something with more kick. The restaurant’s favorite, Extreme Chili Prawn, was definitely fit for the job. Hot and addictive, it got me gasping for more with each bite. I also feasted on Marinated Chicken, an equally delicious albeit slightly simpler dish with its familiar dressing, and Salted Pepper Fish with Teriyaki Sauce.
To accompany the main dishes, Kampus offers the Fourchette Potato with Melted Cheese, made with only the best potato, and Sauteed Mixed Vegetables. Speaking of healthy greens, Vegetarians need not worry, because the restaurant also offers a decent vegetarian menu.
The dessert menu is up next. Those who are not keen on juggling around with choices can pick the assorted plate, which gives you the luxury of relishing four sweet, delicate tastes at once: Roseberry Jelly, Tiramisu, Ice Green Tea, and Nougat Pistaschio Almond Hazelnut Sugar Caramel Cream.
Kampus offers a wide selection of liquors and wines, and of course a range of its own cocktail creations, such as Fashionable – a mixture of vodka, peppermint green, mashed kiwi, and triple sec, and My Peach – a blend of real peach, peach liquor, vodka and grenadine.
Now that you’ve wined and dined, a little song and dance won’t hurt, and what do you know, the karaoke spots and dance floor are just elevator rides away. After a calm in the revolving dining room, you might have to warm yourself up before returning to the urban sprawl below. After all, this is still Jakarta. (SG/ST)

i will say the same as the previous comment that this is place is the place to be
i can even add that they'll serve you for your dating need, proposing and even your wedding night.
The food is all delicious, so tender, so tasty.

terletak di lantai 35-37 di Menara Imperium dengan resto yg bisa berputar melihat scenery Kota Jakarta, alternatif yg sangat sempurna bagi beromantik dengan pasangan, hang out ama temen dan keluarga...
design interiornya total bgt agak sentuhan gelap dengan warna warna merah dan maroon serta permainan lughting yg menawan
tak kalah dengan penyajian foodnya dari marinate chicken yg chicken bgt lembut dan saosnya tak ada duanya di dunia, semacam mashe dpotatoes yg sangat padat dan lembut dengan keju yg meleleh dan agak terbentuk padat serta mencair tidak bisa dideskripsikan
Salmon dengan saos teriyaki, wagyu beef dan Chili Prawn yg menjadi signature KAMPUS sangat gue rekomendasikan
I tried choco mint, fashionable, and My peach for cocktails; Choco Mints agak terlalu keras, my peach untuk rasa exotic dan adem dan Fashionable untuk vodka yg segar dan sejuk :D
Dessert I tried Jelly, macam macam kacang yg dihancurkan dan dibentuk dengan dibalutin coklat, green tea ice cream, dan tiramisu. Penyajian tiramisunya unik kayak sekotak gift tapi rasa coffeenya kurang nampol IMO

Was there on Friday night. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, but smokey as smoking is permitted in the dining section. Service very attentive, but not very knowledgeable.
The food was mediocre at best for a place in this price category. The Rillettes of Duck Confit in Rice Paper Roll were passable. So were the Tiger Prawn Cocktail. The Seafood Fusilli was way to sweet and the Osso Bucco had a distinct Rendang taste and feel to it... (If I want Rendang I go to a Nasi Padang place...)
Will I go there again?
